IIM- Bangalore recently asked Essay Topics (2012):

IIM B to Adopt Essay writing in Place of GD for Admissions 2010
From this year IIM Bangalore will conduct essay writing test instead of a routine GD round for the 2010-2012 batch. There will be a 30-minute essay test on the day of the Personal Interview.
During the PI process the candidates selected for interviewing during a particular day will have to write a short note (one page) 30 minutes essay on a topic provided by IIMB. The topics can be from current political scene, economic and business affairs, sports etc.
The PI is of 20 – 25 mins. The type of questions varies from person to person. The questions can be asked on current affairs or on your hobbies or your work experience. Subsequently each candidate will be evaluated on his/her performance on the note and his/her performance during personal interview.
Candidates having work experience will be evaluated on the quality and relevance of their work experience.
