Eligibiliy And Selection Criteria Selection Procedure -

Selection of candidate is based on the following-

  1. Professional experience
  2. Academic record
  3. GMAT score
  4. Personal interviews.
  5. A statement of purpose
  6. Recommendations from two refrees holding senior managerial positions.

 

Eligibility Criteria –

  1. A bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline
  2. More than 5 years of post qualification managerial/professional experience
  3. A valid GMAT score (taken within last 36 months of Application date)

 

Required Essays :-

  • Essay 1. Statement of Purpose. 
  •  
  • Essay 2. Give detailed descriptions of three activities you performed in your work place in the last five years which will help us assess your abilities and strengths.
  •  
  • Essay 3. Narrate an important / unusual incident of your life when you had to face a very demanding / challenging situation. How did you overcome the situation? What lessons did you learn from this incident?
  • Essay 4: (Only for re-applicants) what are the changes in your profile vis-à-vis previous year’s?
  • Essay 5: (Optional) anything else you would like to highlight in support of your application?

Required Essays :-

  • Essay 1. What do you expect to gain from the PGPX at IIMA? (500 words)
  • Essay 2. Describe a situation that demonstrated your leadership qualities. (500 words)
  • Essay 3. Describe the single event or achievement that has significantly influenced your life. (500 words)
  • Essay 4. Give a description of yourself, stressing the personal characteristics you feel are your strengths and weaknesses. (500 words)
  • Essay 5 (Optional). Any other information that you believe may help us make a favourable decision on your application.

The expected class size for the class of 2012-13 is between 60-75 students.

 

Selection  Procedure
Selection of the candidate is based on the following –

  5.  Interview

 

Eligibility
The pre- requisites are –

  1. Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  2.  7 - 15 years full time work experience

 A valid GMAT score.

 

Only Statement of Purpose (750 words) is required.
