HEC MBAEssay 1.Why are you applying to the HEC MBA Program now? What is the professional objective that will guide your career choice after your MBA, and how will the HEC MBA contribute to the achievement of this objective?
HECMBA Essay Help: This is the most important essay. It is also called statement of purpose in some school applications.
Ideally the applicants would be either :
1.Career switchers : Those aiming at change in sector, or job function or both
2.Careers advancers : Those aiming to advance their career in same sector or company sponsored who want to come back to organization in general management capacity.
In general for both type of applicants the Essay wants you to enumerate your short term and long term future Goals .what do you bring on to the table, in other words how you add to diversity in HEC culture(what special skills a candidate has that will enrich his class also what does he have that he could benefit most from such a course) . Also How shall HEC be useful in advancing your career goals. Why MBA at this stage (assuming candidate has x years work experience)
Additionally For candidates in Type 1 (career switchers) an ideal strategy will be to start with describing their current/previous jobs, skills attained and how these skills would be of use in the sector/functions they are targeting . They should also describe why they've decided to choose a particular sector. How MBA will help getting into this sector. What is their long term goals (typically 7-10 years down the line).
Similarly apart from 1st para, additional For Career Advancers the institute wants you to describe what skills you are looking to hone in at HEC that will propel you on fast pace in your current organization. How well you've done in current organization. If you seek change in functionalities, what are the skills that you've gained will help you fit in the desired role.
Finally write the research done by you (candidate) about school, its alumni network and courses. Also mention if you've attended presentations by school in your country or abroad about MBA admissions. These show that you've done enough research about the school and its your target school.

What are strengths did it develop (hardwork/analytical skills/persistence etc)

HEC MBAEssay 3.Leadership and ethics are inevitably intertwined in the business world. Describe a situation in which you have dealt with these issues and how they have influenced you.

What external pressures you had, how did u handle it ? What were key takeaways of the entire experience ? How did u influence superiors to adapt to ethical solution. Did it benefit society or part of it ? how ?
Bonus would be if you could enumerate if you were also able to change the group of people, community etc.
HEC MBAEssay 4. Imagine a life entirely different from the one you now lead, what would it be?
HECMBA Essay Help: This essay wants you to tell what you've wanted to do in life but couldn't do . This is not deriding your present life (don't project yourself as a negative person)
What you'd have done to achieve your goal (planning is important aspect of future manager)
How it would have changed you as a person. How would you have benefitted others.What strength in your character it would have shown (quicklearner/analytical/competitive spirit etc)
Most importantly how would have looked up to you for inspiration (for your leadership skills/ being a team player etc)
HEC MBAEssay 5.Please choose from one of the following essays:
HECMBA Essay Help: Certain books, movies or plays have had an international success that you believe to be undeserved. Choose an example and analyse it.
This Essay tests the analytical ability of the student . Also reasoning why the success was undeserved ? How could it succeed ?
This also tests the awareness and interest of student in the topic . How deep you've researched about the topic to give an informed opinion . How you can justify the side of coin that you are advocating . How well you can critique. These all skills are must have in future manager.
What figure do you most admire and why? You may choose from any field (arts, literature, politics, business, etc).
You need to choose a figure from any field viz sports/politics/spiritual/public servant etc
How is his/her contribution important ? How it shows strength in character (leadership skills/managerial capabilities/never say die attitude etc)
How is his achievement unique
Does it improve life of others ? Does it inspire a generation? How positive has the change been due to his/her efforts?
What is your key learnings from this person ? Have u imbibed his qualities in your personal life etc?

HECMBA Essay Help: The candidate could present things that are not covered elsewhere in the application like his academic excellence, winning maths Olympiad medal , excellence in sports and other achievements that put him in a separate league from the aplicants.
It can be used to show how you've overcome your weaknesses, what are your strengths that may not have been covered in any of the essays above.
