Essay Questions for 2012:
- What is your motivation to pursue a Post Graduate Program in Management for Senior Executives (PGPMAX)? (300 words max)
- What are some qualities that you do not have and wish to acquire which will help you become a more effective leader? What are some qualities that you do not have and wish to acquire which will help you become a more effective manager? Please explain in two separate paragraphs (300 words max)
- There are 5 countries adjacent to each other on a large island. Out of these only one country (named Mandalia) is abundant in water sources and forests. The population in this country is very low. The other 4 countries are extremely poor, have a drought situation and people who are dying of hunger. However they have good soil and ground water but no electricity to pump this water out of the ground for agriculture. The only solution to solve the hunger in these countries is to build a dam in largest river in Mandalia. The drawback is major. Human population can be relocated, however all animals and plants, in Mandalia will be destroyed. They also cannot be relocated to another area as they cannot adapt to any other habitat. Your company has been shortlisted to build this dam. Unfortunately, the business is bad and your company needs this project to survive. The company will cease to exist if you do not accept this project. What decision will you take? Please explain with sound reasoning justifying your decision (300 words max)

After many years of being away from formal study, how do you plan to adjust to an extremely rigourous academic life and how can ISB be assured of you successfully completing the programme?
