McIntire Business Institute-University of Virginia

The program was launched in 1982 and was the first of its kind. The program is an intensive dive into marketing, accounting, finance infotech and management for students without prior business experience (undergrads, graduate students or professionals) and is taught by the faculty of the undergraduate School of Commerce.

Academic Year

Offered August - April in Charlottesville. A popular choice for UVA students and returning professionals; meets Fridays, 11 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

The 2017-2018 program runs from Aug. 25, 2017, to April 27, 2018.

Program applications are due July 30, 2017. Scholarship Applications are due July 1, 2017.

Summer Residential

Offered mid-May to late June in Charlottesville, with approximately 100 students from colleges and universities around the world. Meets Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

The 2018 program runs from May 29, 2018, to June 28, 2018.

Applications due May 15, 2018. Scholarship applications due April 1, 2018.

Online

A 15-week, accelerated online business certificate program ideal for students unable to attend in-classroom sessions, recent grads, and working professionals. Three start dates: January, May, and August.

The 2017 fall online session runs Aug. 20, 2017, to Dec. 23, 2017.

The 2018 spring online session runs Jan. 7, 2018, to May 19, 2018.

The 2018 summer online session runs May 20, 2018, to Sept. 16, 2018.

Applications are due by the first day of the program. Scholarship deadlines are due one month prior to the first day of the program.
